Keegan Harper
Co-Founder and CEO
Over the last 25 years Mr. Harper has founded and led 12 medical device companies. The companies have been clinically focused in the areas of electrophysiology, cardiology, pulmonology, biologics, spine and neurostimulation. He has built world class management teams, structured multiple acquisitions that exceeded $1.5 Billion in exit value and closed on 25+ rounds of venture capital exceeding $600 Million in invested capital. More recently, in 2018 Mr. Harper led the Cryterion Medical acquisition, where Boston Scientific purchased the company for $310M.
Eric Schultheis
Co-Founder / VP of R&D Catheters
Eric has over 22 years of research and development experience in medical device companies. Prior to Bolt, Eric was VP of R&D for Boston Scientific, which acquired Cryterion Medical in 2018 where Eric served as a principal inventor and Director of R&D. Prior to Cryterion, Eric worked for EPIX as principal inventor and Lead R&D Engineer on a novel diamond cooled RF ablation catheter. Prior to Epix, Eric served as Lead Engineer at various companies including Medtronic, Hansen Medical and Boston Scientific where he invented, developed, and commercialized stent delivery systems, robotic catheters, steerable electrophysiology therapeutic devices and other technologies. Eric is credited with 15 issued U.S. patents covering a wide spectrum of technologies for medical devices. Eric received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Chico State University and a MS in Mechanical Engineering at San Jose State University.
Tim Meyer
VP Clinical & Scientific Affairs
Tim has more than 19 years of experience of global clinical trials and risk management in the medical device industry preceded by an additional 9 years in academic research and teaching. Before Bolt, Tim spent 14 years with Boston Scientific in various leadership positions. Most recently he served as a Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Zoll Respicardia. He has experience in all types of clinical trials and has numerous publications in the cardiovascular, implantable device and sleep apnea spaces. Tim earned his MS in Physiology from the University of North Dakota and a PhD in Movement Science from Washington University.
Todd Parsons
VP Clinical Field Operations
Todd joined Bolt in 2022 and brings more than 25 years in clinical research, global market development, physician training and sales. Todd and his teams have successfully conducted clinical trials for atherectomy devices, drug-coated balloons and IVL catheters leading to US market approval and widespread clinical adoption. Todd’s rich history has seen him hold leadership positions at Covidien, Shockwave Medical, Cardiovascular Systems Inc. (CSI), Abbott and Edwards Life Sciences. Todd holds BA and MS degrees from the University of Colorado in Integrative Physiology with an emphasis in cellular cardiac physiology.
Lakshmi Narayan Mishra
VP Console R&D and Operations
Mishra joined Bolt Medical 2022 and has 25 years of experience in developing and launching medical devices. Before Bolt, Mishra held senior engineering leadership positions at Nalu Medical, Illumina and Advanced Bionics (Sonova). Mishra has led projects ranging from cochlear implants, DNA sequencing and neuromodulation with over 35 issued U.S. patents. Mishra holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University and a MSEE from University of Texas at Dallas.
Laura Geissinger
VP Regulatory Affairs & Quality
Laura joined Bolt in 2021 and brings more than 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs and quality assurance. Prior to working at Bolt she worked at Microvention Terumo as Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and at Medtronic Neurovascular as Director, Regulatory Affairs. Laura is an experienced leader with a strong record of success with 510(k), PMA and new CE mark applications for novel devices. Laura earned her BA in Biology from the University of San Diego.
Brian Cook
VP Marketing
Brian joined Bolt Medical Sept 2023 and brings more than 20 years in marketing and engineering with a successful track record of developing and launching cardiovascular medical devices. Before Bolt, Brian spent 23 years with Medtronic in various leadership positions. Most recently, Brian served as Director of Marketing and Business Development of Medtronic’s Peripheral Vascular Health Business. He also held several leadership roles in Upstream & Downstream Marketing, and R&D Engineering (3 issued U.S. patents) in the Cardiovascular business. Brian graduated with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University.
